Join us Tonight! - IoT Arduino Prototypes and IoT Device Management

Details
Thingsters,
The next event is ....Tonight!We have two great speakers lined up for the event. No food sponsor so make sure you grab something from the carts outside.
The first is Brian Bishop from Cipher Engineering who will cover the process of design engineering when taking a prototype from an Arduino to actual manufacture and why many problems can arise.
The second is a technical talk from local technologist Vic Lortz about his Device Management system that he has created and demonstration.
Speaker:
Maker prototype to shippable product - how to keep product flowing and not go to jail - Brian Bishop - Cipher
There's a lot of excitement with new hardware development modules and the maker movement, tonight we'll talk about what has to be done to get that one prototype to something that is shippable, both in terms of a reliable supply chain and regulatory compliance.
Connecting a Thing to the I -- secure, deployable IoT - Vic Lortz, IoT Technologist
IoT market growth is being driven by many factors, including a precipitous drop in hardware costs for Internet-capable devices, near ubiquitous coverage with low-cost wireless networks, and cloud computing for scalable management and analytics. However, there are significant challenges in the area of secure enrollment and connection of headless devices to services on the Internet. Vic Lortz will be discussing this topic and demonstrating a solution that has outstanding ease-of-use, is easily deployed, and is suitable for many IoT scenarios.
As always we will have an open floor section for any local announcements, job openings and requests to the community.
Surj.
