Reflections on the Perception of Art - Enjoying Art or Reviewing It?
Details
This proposed series positions the gallery as a place where attention is practiced. Each session begins with direct looking and opens into shared reflection on feeling, memory, distance, interpretation, and meaning. The aim is not to arrive at one correct reading, but to deepen the encounter between artwork and viewer.
April 25 is the first session in the monthly series. We will be discussing how do we move from immediate feeling to thoughtful reflection? An opening conversation on whether art should be first enjoyed, interpreted, or both.
