JFK International Airport, Queens, NYC, NY, USJoin our Meetup on an epic adventure packed with ancient vibes, breathtaking views, and some solid "Wait, how did they build that?" moments.
We’re kicking things off at Petra—yes, that Petra (cue Indiana Jones theme). Rock-carved buildings and mysterious desert vibes.
Then, it’s off to Wadi Rum. Pretty much this is Mars on Earth. We will even visit to the location where they filmed "The Martian." We will spend the night in a dinkum Bedouin camp and feel like Laurence of Arabia (also filmed there).Float like a cork in the Dead Sea.
In Amman we explore the ancient Roman ruins of Jerash, where you can imagine life before modern technology.Then . . . Egypt!!! We start with Cairo . . Pyramids of Giza, The Sphinx, The Grand Egyptian Museum, Coptic Churches and the ancient Khan Al-Khalili bazaar
The journey continues with . . a luxury Nile cruise. We sail down the Nile and visit temples at Aswan, Kom Ombo, and Luxor. Along the way we also explore Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, and the colossal temples of Karnak and Luxor. You will even have the opportunity for a hot air balloon ride over the temples of Egypt or Wadi Rum. . . or both!!

• The boat will sail rain or shine! The boat has two levels and has climate control. The main level has indoor space and there is an outside deck with a roof on the second level.• There is paid parking at the marina, or you can try to find parking on the street. To get street parking, please arrive early to look around. By subway, take 6, N, R lines to 23rd Street, walk 4 blocks east - the Marina will be in front of you.
• You must get your ticket in advance. RSVPing without pre-payment will not get you into the event. We're expecting a sell out.

Are costumes mandatory? No but encouraged.How many will attend? This is a multi-Meetup group event. This page only shows a small portion of the actual attendees. Based on other RSVPs and members who have already prepaid, we'll have 100+ attending!
Can I come alone? Yes about 80% of those attending will be coming solo. But you can also invite friends to join you. Everyone must have a ticket to enter.
Is this age specific? All welcome 21 and over. We get a good mix of ages so everyone will have others to mingle with
