Impromptu Speaking + Listening Lab
Speak on the spot and listen well. No more polite nodding and blank stares. Lead the conversation.
This is a Zoom practice group for anyone who wants to get better at thinking on their feet, speaking clearly, and actually listening.
This is great for interviews, meetings, leadership, or anyone who freezes when put on the spot.
Format is simple:
- 1 speaker answers a prompt (1–2 minutes) *Bring your own prompts to the session.
- 1 listener repeats back what they heard (30–60 seconds: main point, key detail, interesting words/phrases.)
- Rotate and repeat *We’ll use random selection so everyone gets a fair shot.
No evaluations. No lectures. No pressure. No debates. Just active listening and repeat-back.
Why this lab?
- Build real confidence speaking on the spot
- Think on your feet and answer more clearly
- Practice active listening you can't fake
- Lead conversations instead of drifting through them
- Less rambling, more clarity
- Low-pressure environment
This is practice, not performance. Come as you are.
