Willow Harvest - Reusable Bag Sewing Workshop

Details

Help convert retired billboards into reusable willow harvest bags for our upcoming Beaver Works habitat restoration projects!

Estimates are that around 50% of plastic is used just once and thrown away. To reduce our use of single-use plastic, we reached out to Meadow Outdoor Advertising and Anvil Sewing Inc. about the possibility of making our own reusable bags. We are excited to replace the use of Hefty bags and convert donated PVC billboards into plant harvest and storage bags. For use in our volunteer riparian restoration projects in 2026 and beyond! We are delighted to receive an award from the Community Innovation Fund to continue with this waste reduction project.

Experienced and inexperienced sewers are welcome! RSVP to reserve your spot!
