Demon Possessed or Mental Illness?
Details
This is a casual discussion event open to all views and perspectives. Respect for others is a must (or at least try).
The first 10-20 minutes of this event will be a presentation held by Len, followed by open discussion. We may either stay on this subject or it could drift into other subjects. All views welcome!
Being that this is a dark subject, I have clarified that we will not be allowing disturbing content during the presentation. We will use our best judgment but if anything does start to make anyone uncomfortable we will not let it continue.
In addition to the presentation this could tie in with an opportunity to address the idea that people are sometimes accused of being “demon possessed”. How dangerous is it to falsely make this claim against someone? Is it just an insult hurled in the heat of the moment? Should it be treated as a mental illness? How can you tell the difference? Could there ever be truth to the claim? Is there a solution to demon possession that does not involve a catholic priest giving you a spritz?

Rule Of Etiquette: The goal is to have a productive free-flowing discussion, while also giving everyone a fair chance to participate accordingly. If you have any trouble getting a word in, please use the "Raise Hand" feature. We have a loosely enforced 3 minute timer but please be mindful of your time and the number of people waiting, and know that you can always put yourself back in the rotation for additional talking points. It is also encouraged to engage with others on your turn so that we can have more of a free-flowing dialog, rather than each of us just taking turns on our soap boxes.
Hope you can join us!
