This weeks topic is: Community

What makes a community? Proximity used to be the main divider, gathering to share resources, help each other, safety in numbers. Community is as much about survival as it is about belonging. These days perhaps belonging is the most important. The biological and emotional drive to be a part of something bigger than yourself is innate. Survival alone is not enough. Contributing your energy to a community makes a difference. How do you foster community in your neighborhood? Your own family? A group chat with people you have never met? People across the world can be in any community now, does this remote version provide the same benefits? Lets close out 2025 and reflect on our own community and how we can carry it into 2026!

Details
We will be meeting in the NW Portland Hostel common room. Look for the cool group of locals that seem pretty awesome, it might be us. We start the conversation at 7pm sharp, arrive a bit early grab a drink and some food and get settled in.
