Greetings Everyone, This week I'd like to talk about propaganda. What makes it stick around, looking back through history how do we isolate it and identify it? Going as far back as the Roman's Terra Nulius, the idea that the barbarians were uncivilized and needed to be made civil. The idea that 'unoccupied land needed to be settled' that still exists today. Wars seem like great opportunities for propaganda to arise. Lets get together and talk about how and why it exists and how it sometimes seems to out live many of the facts. Let's talk about humanity and story telling.

Recently the topics I have been a bit more structured- this time I'd like to do something a little more free form, see where the conversation goes.

If we have enough RSVPs we'll be in the back room, if not and the weather is nice we may sit outside otherwise you will likely find us in the seating area to the left of the bar. Conversation will start at 7:30 but feel free to arrive early to grab a drink, sit and chat and beat the traffic.

This is the first Wednesday of the month so i expect Astronomy on Tap will be at Blue Star that night so parking will likely be a premium. If this topic doesn't interest you I encourage you to look up the AOT presentations for that night.
