Suggested viewing before we meet (4 1⁄2 min video): Why is it so Hard to Live in the Present?

What is it that makes the present, especially the nicer moments of the present, so difficult to experience properly?
Why can many events feel easier to enjoy, appreciate, and perceive when they are over?*** In what ways does anxiety affect the present?
*** How can our bodies further contribute to our distraction from the present?**

Let's be in the present and think about it!

About TWD Online events:

  1. Zoom event starts at 7pm pacific
  2. From 7p-7:30p, members join the main Zoom room to mingle, watch the video again, grab a beverage and settle in
  3. At 7:30pm, the hosts create Zoom breakout rooms where groups of 6-10 members join to have a more in-depth conversation about the topic
  4. Between 9 and 9:30, the hosts decide to end their facilitation and leave their breakout room to return to the main room. At 9:30 PM, all of the breakout rooms are closed and members will be returned to the main room for the ‘post discussion party'.
