What we’re about

Welcome to Third Space Amsterdam, quirkiest book/discussion club for curious souls who read, think, and sip coffee/beer while wrestling with life’s biggest questions! Hangout for curious 20- and 30-somethings who find home too cozy and work too stuffy! We’re not your grandma’s book club (unless your grandma loves debating Nietzsche over stroopwafels). Here, we dive into books, philosophy, theology(Christian), art, movies, music, and science to unpack what it means to be human in this wild, tech-driven, sometimes despair-inducing era.
What’s the vibe?
Picture this: a cozy Amsterdam café, a table full of book nerds, Christians, seekers, and big-picture thinkers. We’re laughing, arguing (politely, of course), and geeking out over ideas. From Kierkegaard’s angst to sci-fi tales of AI overlords, we explore humanity’s grand metanarrative—how do we stay us when algorithms are writing our stories? Expect wit, warmth, and a sprinkle of existential hilarity, and maybe a few “aha!” moments.
Who’s invited?
Fans of philosophy, theology, art, movies, music, and science who want to connect the dots.
who thrive in conversational dialogue, love abstract ideas, and are high in openness and imagination.
What we do:
Weekly meetups in Amsterdam’s coziest cafés, public library or canal-side spots.
Read and discuss books/videos that spark big thoughts
Toss in movie reviews, music playlists, or art gallery visits to keep things fresh.
Share funny jokes (because comedy is creativity).
Where & When:
We gather every Tuesday evening at rotating Amsterdam hotspots. Locations are shared weekly on Whatsapp, and we’ll sprinkle in some virtual meetups for those rainy Dutch nights.
Why join?
Whether you’re a Christian philosopher at heart or just someone who love a good story/ideas, come hang out, sip something warm, and let’s unravel the mysteries of life together. No pretension, just passion—and maybe a few bad puns.
