Bayfront Park is one of Mobile County’s oldest parks, originally established from a railroad land donation in the 1920s. The modern boardwalk is part of coastal restoration efforts tied to Deepwater Horizon settlement funding (Yeah... that Deepwater Horizon), reflecting ongoing work to preserve and restore the Gulf Coast for future generations.
