Anyone who enjoys the sociability and fun of early 19th century dance. Valley Area English Regency Dancing celebrates the life and times of Jane Austen. Dances of the period are social mixers, smooth, happy, and transports people through time. It's a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. There are also light refreshments, conversation, and dancing to music of Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven and traditional tunes.

celebrating the World of Jane Austen and the English Regency Period.

Dancing from 1-5 PM
There shall be snacks, conviviality, and Regency Dancing in the style of aristocratic ballroom dancing in England, 1795-1825 [The “Long” Regency].
We shall be learning longways set dances, waltzes, some finishing dances, and Jane Austen’s favorite dance, the Cotillion.
Recorded music by Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, and traditional tunes.
Light refreshments shall be provided.

No walk-ins. No money will be taken at the door.
Cut-off for RSVP:  Friday, July 15th.

COVID 19 PROTOCOL: Masks and Proof of Vaccination or negative tests required. 

Dressing in Regency attire is encouraged but not required.
Beginner friendly -- No partner or experience necessary.
