Fast Walk, Free History, Fun Sips: Lincoln Park/Old Town Part II

We’ll start with an optional 1.5 mile fast-paced walk through Lincoln Park.

11:00 AM: We’ll meet at the intersection of LaSalle and Stockton to engage in a brisk, non-stop, 1.5 mile walk for exercise while taking in familiar sights and views. We will end at the Chicago History Museum entrance. If you want to skip the walk, meet us at the Museum entrance at 12:00.

12:00 PM: After the walk, we’ll explore the Chicago History Museum for an hour on FREE DAY. Here are the current limited-time exhibitions at a glance:

• Aquí en Chicago: A vibrant exhibition celebrating the deep historic, social, and cultural contributions of Latine communities across Chicago
• Injustice: The Trial for the Murder of Emmett Till: A deeply moving exhibition focusing on the 1955 trial, its monumental impact on the Civil Rights Movement, and the fight for justice.
• US at 250: Civic Action in Chicago: A timely exhibition evaluating the evolving history of American democracy and local community activism ahead of the country's upcoming 250th anniversary.

1:00 PM: Finally, we’ll take a tiny 5-10 minute stroll to Corcoran's Grill & Pub, 1615 N. Wells, for a sip and a snack before heading home.
