We will meet at the front gate, which was built in 1864. Rosehill Cemetery has 350 acres and was 7 miles north (!) of the city of Chicago when it was created in 1859. Almost 400 Civil War soldiers are buried here, along with many notables from Chicago history (Montgomery Ward, Shedd and others). We will also peek in the 1914 Mausoleum, which has many stained glass windows, some by Tiffany.

Afterwards, we will reconvene and reconstitute at the nearby Fireside Restaurant and Lounge at 5739 N Ravenswood.
