Like reading academic papers, but don’t have anyone to talk to them about? Want to “delve” into a field, but losing the motivation to self study? Well, if the moon is shining bright enough, why don’t you head on down to “Thoth’s Math and Science Journal Club”.
Paper topics are wide open right now, but our inaugural paper will be “Attention is all you need” a 2017 paper in machine learning that introduced the transformer architecture. I personally am a biologist, so you don’t have to understand the paper deeply to come. Just give it a college try.
