From HR to PM: How I found a product job in the year of layoffs

Last year was tough for the tech industry, with layoffs, hiring freezes, and budget cuts. Even experienced product managers found it hard to land a job, let alone those switching to a PM role from other areas.
But don't worry, difficult doesn't mean impossible! It's all about understanding the hiring process specifics and having the right strategy. To guide you through the PM job search maze, we've invited experts in both product management and recruitment to share their unique insights and knowledge.

So, whether you're a product manager struggling to find a job or planning your next career move, this meetup is perfect for you.
We're excited to introduce our keynote speaker, Annie Li, Product Manager at Figures and Job Search Coach. A recruiter turned Product Manager, Annie brings a wealth of knowledge from both perspectives. She will share valuable strategies on how to approach your job search and interviewing process, giving you an edge in finding the right opportunities and securing a job.

In the second part of our event, we have a live CV review session. Annie Li will be joined by Frederico Machado de Campos, Talent Acquisition Manager at YAGER. They'll go through 3 Product Manager CVs from our community, giving live feedback and sharing what really catches the eye of recruiters and hiring managers – and what might not.

About our speaker and talk:
Annie is a Product Manager in HR tech with a background in talent acquisition. She is currently a product manager at Figures, a compensation benchmarking and management platform. Outside of her day job, Annie is a job search coach, using her recruiter insider knowledge to help people land jobs in tech.
3 years ago, Annie decided to move from talent acquisition to product to eventually build her own startup. In her talk, she shares the full journey from getting her first product manager title to the detailed breakdown of her job search process. She will also share her experience and tips from coaching over 100+ jobseekers in tech.
