About the evening
We're starting off 2025 with something a little different. After learning about EventStorming this past year, we're going to put the sticky notes aside and try a practical application. Here's the description from Jonathan, who will be running the meetup:
This hands-on session will guide you through implementing an event-sourced application from start to finish.
Agenda:
- Discuss common problems and challenges in building event-sourced systems
- Plan, build, and deploy a complete application using TypeScript and AWS
- Share best practices and patterns with your fellow Event Sourcers
What to Bring:
- A Mac or Linux laptop with a working Node.js setup
- A Google Account (Gmail)
- Your AWS account for deployment (optional)—costs will be under €2
This workshop is ideal for software developers and architects. Advanced coding skills aren’t required, familiarity with AWS, JavaScript, and basic programming concepts will be helpful.
Teacher Bio:
Jonathan is an enthusiast of Domain-Driven Design and Event Sourcing. He worked as a developer and solution architect. Now, he’s the co-founder and CTO of Codebricks, a developer platform for Domain-Driven Design and Event Sourcing
