Hello all you fabulous forties and beyond (40 is the new 30, I hear... but who cares, we feel great! no matter our age.) Let's get together to socialize, make new friends and enjoy this beautiful valley we live in (or visit.) From live music to causal dining or weeknight happy hours, we can find plenty to keep us busy. Plenty of outdoor pursuits also, hiking, biking, walks, whatever sounds fun.
So many options and ideas for get togethers; I welcome member input, and down the road hope to have member-hosted events, including ladies and men's nights out. I'm open to all kinds of activities we can dream up where we can enjoy meeting new people, getting to know new friends better, enjoying good conversation, food, spirits and all sorts of adventures.
What this group is NOT: A dating platform. Singles, couples, men, women, friends; all are welcome, but this is not a "singles" group and as a member your goal in attending events should not be for the sole purpose of finding "dates." People do meet of course, which is great but that is not the purpose of this group. Also you are welcome to bring guests, but please if they become "regular" they need to sign up, for legal reasons.
I live in Thousand Oaks and plan to concentrate my events "between the hills" of Calabasas and Camarillo, but West Valley and up to Ventura are certainly not off limits. This group will always be flexible especially for special events like fairs, concerts, hikes and the like. For the time being there will be no fees for events, other than ticket prices, food, drink and such as charged by the particular venues we patronize.
Any carpooling costs or logistics arrangements related to carpooling are solely between those who choose to share rides. As always, if you have RSVPed yes and find you cannot make the event, please be courteous and change your RSVP to no.
