What we’re about
We meet 3 times a quarter (once a month) across 3 different Pittsburgh locations (Central, North, and South). Meetings are two-hours of fun and easy conversation broken into 3 parts focused on easy to understand learning for beginners who interested in Bitcoin and have questions on other crypto assets.
Each session follows a clear format:
-30 minutes of meet-and-greet,
-30 minutes of a plain-English “Intro to Bitcoin,”
-and a one-hour deep dive led by our local BitDevs community.
Prefer to keep it light? Skip the technical segment and stay to network.
There’s food and a nearby restaurant for continued chats. Attendance is free, and we generally meet during the third week of the month.
Our rotating Intro series is built for curious newcomers and finance-minded professionals. Topics cycle through:
(1) Bitcoin’s finite supply—why 21 million matters;
(2) wallets 101—how they work and the difference between hot and cold storage;
and
(3) mining—what it is and practical ways to get started.
Join at any point and you’ll still get a complete, beginner-friendly foundation while meeting operators, founders, and professionals who care about real-world use cases. (corporate treasuries, personal trusts, real estate, .etc)
Logistics:
Pittsburgh South meets at Carnegie Coffee Company;
Pittsburgh Central and Pittsburgh North venues are TBD and announced on our event pages.
RSVP free on Meetup or Luma —pick whatever works best for you. Bring a colleague, stay for the conversation, and leave with practical insights you can use the next day.
Friendly Code of Conduct (short & simple):
