Join us for some great Thrive in Midlife Discussions! Here is the topic for Saturday May 31st. Hosted by Jeremy!

"You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage—pleasantly, smilingly, non-apologetically—to say ‘no’ to other things." – Stephen R. Covey

Effective time management isn’t just about getting more done—it's about making room for what truly matters. Similarly, setting boundaries is not about shutting people out, but about honouring our energy, our time, and our values.

Some boundaries are external — saying no to extra tasks or unproductive meetings — while others are internal, like resisting the urge to over commit or constantly be available. Every time we protect our time and energy, we're making a decision about the life we want to build.
Tonight, we’ll explore how boundaries and intentional time management shape our well-being, and how we can create space for what’s meaningful, not just what’s urgent.

Questions for roundtable discussions:

  1. Was there a time when you didn't say "no" to someone out of fear of rejection or conflict?
  2. Who or what gets the best of my time and energy?
  3. Are boundaries more about protecting ourselves or teaching others how to treat us? How do we find balance between openness and protection?
  4. What would my ideal day look like if I were living fully in alignment with my values?
