Plyometrics & Agility Training (SMC Track)

We aren't chasing heart rate, calorie burn, or HIIT gains in this class. We are rebuilding the dynamics that make us less athletic as we age.
This means keeping the functional abilities of your muscles — coordination, speed, balance, and power.
This class is ideal for anyone easing back into their optimal functional and athletic self — whether that means building confidence in movement, jumping higher on the volleyball court, dashing side to side on a pickleball court, or protecting your body from the coordination and mobility losses common in when these things are trained.
What to Expect (Subject to Changes) (60 minutes total)
Warm-Up: 3 slow laps around track
Locomotion: side shuffle, backwards run etc
Agility: ladder drills (icky shuffle, lateral in/out etc)
Plyometrics: jump lunges, seated vertical jumps etc
Cooldown: light walk, stretch + breathing reset
Effortful but not grueling — focus on coordination, rhythm, and control over intensity.
