Good investing begins with judgment, risk awareness, and the ability to make decisions under uncertainty.
Before choosing a stock, fund, retirement account, or asset class, an investor has to understand something more basic: what risk they are taking, what reward they are expecting, how much liquidity they need, and whether they can make sound decisions under uncertainty.
This ThriveHub Foundation session is designed for young and new investors who want to build the right mental models before they build a portfolio.
Led by Shabrish Menon, Founder and Principal Advisor at Finomenon Investments, this session will challenge the conventional way investing is taught.
We will explore questions such as:
- How do you separate risk from volatility.
- What drives returns in an investment?
- How do you avoid mistaking activity for progress?
- How do you build conviction without slipping into overconfidence?
- How do you make financial decisions that can survive real life?
- And more
This is not a session about stock tips, hot sectors, or market predictions.
We will discuss and explore practical frameworks, behaviors, and mental models that help build good investors.
No finance background is required.
