How to go from avoiding conversations, arguing, and feeling frustrated with people in your life to being deeply understood and actually resolving issues once and for all, so all of your relationships thrive.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a global movement to create peace and deep connections while meeting our needs through a compassionate way of thinking, communicating, and listening. NVC mediation is a way of resolving even the most difficult issues in relationships in a way that cares for everyone's needs.
Each week we will practice these skills to help us have thriving relationships and to navigate conflict in connecting ways. These are drop-in sessions, where we will explore what is coming up for participants. Come as often as you like, with no obligations.
We'll take situations from the group and explore together what to do using the principles of NVC.
For example:
- How to share regret and redo conversations that didn't go well.
- How to share appreciation in ways that really connect.
- How to bring up difficult conversations, issues, and complaints.
- How to really listen to people when they are upset.
- How to say no or hear no in a connecting way.
- How to hear and recover from judgment.
These free weekly practice sessions are online through Zoom, are two hours long, and are led by two official candidates to become certified NVC trainers.
