Through the Film: Flow @ Eye - Conversations, Connections, & Cocktails

🎞️ Join us for the first edition of Through the Film, where great movies, new friends, and possibly awkward small talk collide in the best way possible! We’ll kick things off with a meet-up to get acquainted, introduce the film, and set expectations. After watching the movie, we’ll grab our favorite drinks, get out our letterboxd accounts, and dive into a lively (and possibly overly passionate) discussion about what we just watched!

🐈‍⬛ What are we watching?
Flow (2024), directed by Gints Zilbalodis, is an animated odyssey that feels like a dream you don’t want to wake up from. It follows a lone traveler (cat of the year) paddling down an endless river, encountering solitude, resilience, and the occasional existential crisis along the way. With its stunning visuals and minimalist storytelling, it’s like meditation—but with more suspense and fewer yoga mats.

👁️ Location?
This time, we’ll gather at the Eye Film Institute, just a stone’s throw from Amsterdam Centraal Station. The Eye building isn’t just a paradise for film lovers—it’s basically a spaceship parked by the river, celebrating Dutch cinema while making every passerby wonder if it’s secretly about to take off.
