HOP 176 - The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts Open Studios

Details

Unlike other Hops all of the open studios are in one building. So we'll gather in the lobby of 323 West 39th street, stay till around 6:15 at which time attendees can move at their own pace through the multitude of studio spaces. For those who would like to grab a post hop drink we'll meet back in the lobby at 9:45.

Now a little info on The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts

https://www.studios-efanyc.org/open-studios

"EFA OPEN STUDIOS is an annual event of the EFA Studio Program that invites the public to come explore and interact with our member artists in the intimate setting of their studios. It is an opportunity to see the most recent works by artists at the site of their origin and to gain meaningful insight into their process of creation. The EFA Studio Program is a vibrant and diverse community of over 75 artists working in a wide range of media and artistic sensibilities. All are professional artists with an established studio practice and recognized career. Rarely can curators, collectors, dealers, artists, and art lovers see so many internationally recognized artists working under one roof in Midtown Manhattan."

And now back to the usual Hop business...

Every week I receive emails from new members asking if there is a fee to join or attend the Thursday Night Gallery Hop. So rather than answer each individually I'll kill a whole flock of emails with one reply.

THE HOP IS, ALWAYS HAS BEEN, AND WILL REMAIN COMPLETELY FREE

That said you are always welcome to buy me a post-hop bourbon. Or just click the 'chip in' button if you are dying to offset my TINY monthly organizer fee. But let me reiterate, contributions while appreciated are NOT required.
