What we're about

Qigong (pronounced Chee Gong and sometimes spelt Chi Kung) is a form of Chinese healing exercise that has a history spanning back over 3000 years.

It is a natural way for a person to develop the good energy (Zheng Qi) in their body and get in touch with the healing capacity or organising principle(Yuan Shen) that is within them.

Our classes are suitable for people of all levels, beginner to advanced, over 15 years old and in particular those who are interested in their sense of well being.

The practice of Qigong has been shown to alleviate and improve all types of conditions and increase the practitioner’s sense of well being.

Qigong Class

Sunnynook Community Centre

If you are new to the Tian Quan Gong school then please call Dr Sunny before you come to a class. There is a public Qigong class on Monday and Wednesday afternoon at the Sunnynook Community Centre in The Acacia Room. The class has two parts: 1. Movement Qi Gong: Tong Tian Di Qigong (From the Sky through to the Earth). This helps bring awareness and intention into the body and clear out the energy channels and fill up major energy centres/Dantian of the body. 2. Quiet Qigong: This practice is an opportunity to explore your own energetic space and healing needs through a simple quiet practice called Tian Quan Qigong (Sky/Heaven Spring Qigong). This style of Qigong has no particular form but allows your body to unwind through relaxed spontaneous movement. Time: Sunday 3 to 5pm $20 casual Please call or txt Dr Sunny on[masked] first to confirm you are coming and talk about the class and your needs further.

Weekly Online General Qigong Classes - Monday

Online event

Qigong class on Monday night Open to all levels, anyone with an interest is welcome Classes are 2 hours For those of you who usually come to class you will be familiar with the format but there will be a bit extra detail and no chill out time during the first 30 minutes as we usually have in class. You are welcome to come for all or part of the class. The class will follow a simple and consistent format: It includes Somatic Restoration (dynamic stretching), Movement Qigong and Quiet Qigong. PART ONE - Somatic Restoration; a whole body/joint dynamic stretching. 6.30 to 7.00pm Somatic Restoration helps to open all the connective tissue and joints of the body to allow the energy and awareness to flow through the body and allow the structures the fascia surrounds to be released and relax. PART TWO - Movement Qigong[masked]pm The second part of the class involves the movement form Tong Tian Di Qigong (From the Sky through to the Earth). Tong Tian Di Qigong helps us to bring awareness and intention into the body and clear out the energy channels and fill up the Dantian, meaning we have less blockages and more energy where we need it. PART THREE - Quiet Qigong[masked]pm This practice is an opportunity to explore your own energetic space and healing needs through a simple quiet practice called Tian Quan Qigong (Sky/Heaven Spring Qigong). This style of Qigong has no particular form but allows your body to unwind through relaxed spontaneous movement.
