#### Exploring the View, Tenets and the Middle Way

This module teaches the right views we need to know and realize with our mind to bring about transformation by uprooting successively more subtle levels of ignorance that are the roots of suffering. In particular, we examine the various aspects of the tenet systems of the main schools of Buddhist philosophy, culminating in the Middle Way view, which clarifies the deepest meaning of emptiness.

In this course, you will learn:

• The two truths, four truths and dependent origination
• Introduction to the four Buddhist tenet schools with emphasis on their presentation of the two truths and selflessness
• Introduction to the Middle Way school
• The way to generate the correct view of selflessness according to the Middle Way school — recognition of the object to be refuted, presentation of different types of reasoning (four-point analysis, sevenfold reasoning and reason of dependent origination)
