DON'T DEMOCRATIZE UX RESEARCH - AND GOVERNANCE FOR THOSE DOING IT
Democratizing UX research? If you ask Debbie Levitt, it’s a big NO.
Remember Debbie? She was a speaker at our online event during the Covid and talked about Evangelizing UX. Well, it is time to meet her in person. Whether you are for or against democratizing UX research, if you work in UX, you should attend 47th Tinel.
This session dives into many of the pro-democratization reasons and arguments and offers critical thinking and counter-arguments for all of them. For those who want to democratize – or are being forced to – Debbie will examine her governance model.
Also, you will find out the best ways to handle bottlenecks, and get a mountain of logical, unemotional arguments you can make for not diluting UX Research. Debbie will teach you the math that shows that the budget is better spent hiring UX Researchers at all levels.
Who is Debbie?
She is a CXO of Delta CX. Since the mid-1990s, has been a CX and UX consultant focused on strategy, research, training, and Human-Centered Design/User-Centered Design. She’s a change agent and business design consultant focused on helping companies of all sizes transform towards customer-centricity while using principles of Agile and Lean.
The event is scheduled for the 31st of May, and anyone who is considering democratizing UX or is trying to battle against being democratized should attend.

If you've never been to Tinel, here's what you can expect:
Every single month we bring prominent tech speakers to Split in order to distribute knowledge to the growing local tech community. Sometimes during the Tinel journey, we joined forces with ‘Digitalna Dalmacija’, a partner that recognized the event's potential and instantly started to support the cause.
We put a big emphasis on networking and meeting new people that share your interests, so we strongly suggest that you arrive a bit earlier. Our event partners, LAB Split, Bokamorra, and Biberon Cakes, will make sure that you are well-refreshed with complimentary pizza, craft beers, and delicious cakes.
