La Conner Waterfront Park - Walkabout & Picnic

This week, we'll start at Conner Waterfront Park, and go for a short stroll up to Pioneer Park on the hill. We'll discover the ages of some big trees, then enjoy storytime together. After that, we'll return to the waterfront for a picnic.

Timeline:
10:00 - Meet at the waterfront park
10:15 - Begin walk to Pioneer park (nearby, up the hill)
10:30 - Tree aging activity
10:50 - Story time with Mr. Adam (organizer)
11:00 - Return to the waterfront
11:10 - Picnic at the waterfront park

What to bring:
-Your tiny explorer (ages 0-4)
-Kids' transportation (carrier and/or stroller for some gentle off-roading)
-Food, utensils, and napkins for yourself and your family
-Your preferred seating and/or blankets for the ground
*There are picnic tables and benches at the park, but they are spread out

Bathroom Facilities
-There is a port-o-potty by the waterfront park, and a full bathroom up the hill in Pioneer park.

Notes on risk and safety:
-All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18+.
-Adults attendees are responsible for their own children and the safety of their children at all times. It is each parent's/guardian's responsibility to determine whether each activity is appropriate for their child's participation.
-This outing has risks including, but not limited to: falls (rocky shoreline), insect bites/stings, hurting plants (thorn pricks, itching, etc.), head-bonking hard surfaces (benches, concrete, rocks, etc.), splinters, incidental sharp edges from items/equipment in the park, choking hazards (gravel, woodchips, etc.), passing vehicles.
