Rocks & Tide-pools at Deception Pass (Rosario Beach)

This week, we'll check out some neat rocks, compare them, and learn a bit about their ancient histories. We'll also have the chance to observe a variety of sea life in the nearby tide-pools.

Timeline:
10:00 - Meet at the park
10:15 - Walk to beach
10:20 - Rocks & Tide-pools
10:55 - Return to grassy park area near the parking lot
11:00 - Story time with Mr. Adam (organizer)
11:10 - Picnic
What to bring:
-Your tiny explorer (ages 0-4)
-WA State Discover Pass - https://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/
-Kids' transportation (a carrier is best for this outing; a stroller can work on some trails in the area, but probably not on the beach itself)
-Food, utensils, and napkins for yourself and your family
-Your preferred seating and/or blankets for the ground
*There is a pavilion and picnic tables, but I can't guarantee they'll be available.
Bathroom Facilities
-There is a bathroom beside the parking lot.
Notes on risk and safety:
-All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18+.
-Adults attendees are responsible for their own children and the safety of their children at all times. It is each parent's/guardian's responsibility to determine whether each activity is appropriate for their child's participation.
-Older siblings are welcome with proper parent/guardian supervision
-This outing has risks including, but not limited to: falls, insect bites/stings, hurting plants (thorn pricks, itching, etc.), head-bonking hard surfaces (benches, concrete, rocks, etc.), splinters, incidental sharp edges from items/equipment in the park, waterfront/drowning, choking hazards (rocks shells, wood chips, crabs, etc.), passing vehicles.
-Please follow all park rules and regulations.
