Sunday Hike: Lanser Kopf Loop

Join us for a relaxed and scenic hike on Innsbruck's beautiful Mittelgebirge plateau. Starting at Lanser See, we'll follow the Lanser Kopf loop through peaceful forests, open meadows, and scenic viewpoints The route continues toward Igls, and depending on the weather and the group's pace, we may extend the hike to the historic pilgrimage site of Heiligwasser, known for its beautiful setting and panoramic views.
We'll plan a lunch stop either at Lanser See or in Igls, depending on timing and group preference.
The hike is approximately 10 km long with around 300 m of elevation gain and about 3 hours of walking time. The pace will be relaxed, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the scenery and socialize along the way.
Meeting point: Lans, Lanser See tram stop at 10:00.
Getting there:
🚞 Take Forest Tram Line 6 (departing Terminal Marktplatz at 09:31) arriving at Lans, Lanser See at 10:01. You can also take Bus J, but the tram ride through the forest is one of Innsbruck's most scenic public transport journeys.
