Three Lakes Loop in Kühtai 🏔️

Discover one of the most beautiful lake hikes in the Stubai Alps on this scenic circular route from Kühtai. Starting at nearly 2,000 m, the trail leads past the Finstertal Reservoir and three picturesque mountain lakes, surrounded by impressive alpine scenery. The main route covers around 9 km with approximately 450–500 m of elevation gain and takes about 4 hours at a relaxed pace. For those looking for an extra challenge, there's an optional ascent of the Neunerkogel summit (2,642 m), adding around 300 m of ascent and about 1.5 hours to the hike.

🚍 Travel Info

• Bus 420: Departs Innsbruck Hbf (Bussteig L) at 09:00, arrives at Kühtai Dortmunder Hütte at 10:05
• Return buses to Innsbruck depart from Kühtai Ort at 15:17 and 17:17.

🎒 What to Bring

• 🥾 Hiking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and sun protection.
• 🍎 Snacks and drinks. We plan to have lunch at the Drei-See-Hütte (optional), but it's a good idea to bring enough food in case the hut is full.
