π Achensee Cliff Trail: Gaisalmsteig & Mariensteig β°οΈ
Details
Hello everyone!
This Sunday we're heading to one of Tirol's most spectacular lakeside hikes! π
Starting in Pertisau, we'll follow the stunning western shore of Achensee along the scenic Gaisalmsteig, with breathtaking views over Tirol's largest lake almost every step of the way.
A bit after midday we'll reach Gaisalm, a unique lakeside mountain hut on the shores of Achensee that can only be reached on foot or by boat, where we'll stop for an optional lunch.
Afterwards, we'll continue along the impressive Mariensteig, a dramatic cliff trail carved into the mountainside. Expect narrow rocky passages, panoramic viewpoints, crystal-clear turquoise water below, and one of the most memorable hiking experiences Tirol has to offer.

β οΈ The Mariensteig includes exposed sections, uneven rocky terrain and narrow paths above the lake.

## π€οΈ Weather
The forecast looks very promising! βοΈ
We're expecting a mostly sunny day with pleasant, moderate temperatures. Ideal conditions for hiking along Achensee. There may be a few passing clouds at times, but overall it should be a beautiful day to enjoy the lake and mountain scenery.
As always in the mountains, weather can change unexpectedly, so it's still a good idea to bring a light rain jacket and an extra layer just in case.
