A Sunday hike to Rauthhüte (1605 m)

This Sunday we’ll hike from Buchener Höhe (1,245 m) up to the Rauthhütte (1,605 m). Once we reach the open areas around the hut, we’ll be rewarded with beautiful views of the Hohe Munde, Wetterstein and Karwendel, as well as the Leutasch Valley and Inntal.
From the Rauthhütte, we’ll continue up to the Zugspitze viewpoint, then head back to the hut for lunch before descending to Leutasch.
There is also a possibility to continue towards the Hohe Munde for those who want a much longer and more demanding hike.

📍 Start: Buchener Höhe bus stop - 9:35
📍 Finish: Leutasch
⏱️ Hiking time: approx. 4 hours
⬆️ Elevation gain: approx. 550 m

### 🚞🚍 Travel Info

Train S6 from Innsbruck Hbf at 08:08 → Seefeld, then buses 430 + 431 → Buchener Höhe, arriving at 09:35.
Return from Leutasch by bus + train to Innsbruck.

### 🎒 What to Bring

• 🥾 Hiking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
• 🧴 Sun protection
• 💧 Enough water and snacks
• 🍎 We’ll have lunch at Rauthhütte, but bring some extra food in case the hut is full.
• 💶 The hut accepts cash only, so make sure to bring some cash with you.
