Pinal Peak

Details
The 5 Part "P" series
This is the first of 5 hikes of mountains beginning with the letter "P". I missed this hike when Eric led it back in March of 2015 and I have wanting to do it ever since. This was Eric's write up back then
While Pinal Peak is the Aesthetic Summit of Pinal County, it is not the "Official" Summit of Pinal County. However, It is the Summit of the Pinal Mountains, located in the Globe area. This is the Globe, AZ Summit. These trails are the most famous trails traveled in the Globe area. Yes, we will top out at 7848 ft in elevation. This is some serious elevation for only having to travel to Globe.
*Icehouse Canyon Trail is only 4.5 miles one way to the peak, climbing 3,025 ft in elevation during the 4.5 miles, this is a constant grind and one that will give you every bit of a workout that I assume you are looking for. http://hikearizona.com/decoder.php?ZTN=711*
We will return on SixShooter Canyon Trail. This is 6.17 miles.

Total of 10.67 miles round trip and approximately 3380 in total accumulated gain. This is rated as a strenuous hike for advanced hikers.
Well maintained dirt road. Cars can make it. Be prepared to have a dirty car.
Be prepared for winter conditions. You may wish to wear pants, bring a beanie and wind breaker for the Summit. And Gloves. It will be chilly at 8,000 ft.
In the comment section he said his stats were closer to 14 miles and 3800 ft of gain. I plan on following the same route so it will be a 5-7 hour day on the mountain.
