Two architects from leading Israeli companies will share their stories of evolving architectures to better suit ever-changing business realities.

We will meet at Liveperson's offices in Tel Aviv:
121 Menachem Begin st.
Azrieli Sarona Tower, 59th floor

Agenda:

18:30 Doors open

19:00 "Evolutionary Architecture - Lessons Learned"
by Efim Dimenstein (Liveperson)

Modern software systems need to evolve rapidly with the business needs. Microservices help, but the challenges are much broader. In this talk I will talk briefly about the Evolutionary Architecture concepts and will describe what worked and what did not work for us while architecting LiveEngage platform.

20:00 "Evolution of the Microservices Paradigm"
by Boris German (Fiverr)

At Fiverr, we’ve been constantly evolving our architecture to solve business and organizational challenges. We scaled our web application to become one of the 500 with highest traffic rank in the world by breaking a monolith and adopting the CQRS paradigm. Then we scaled our software platform to support our development team growth by adopting microservices paradigm. In this session I will present the latest version of our architecture. I will show how new architecture is designed to address the challenge of achieving dev teams autonomy by adopting Domain-Driven Design paradigm. I will also show how we implement the new architecture by moving from a traditional centralized database approach to event sourcing approach using streams of changes as the source of truth.
