Stone Door Loop Hike
Meet at the Stone Door Ranger Station- This is where the trailhead starts
Rated Strenuous, Around 10 miles with about 1800 feet elevation gain.
Don’t attempt it if you’re not in good shape. Park rules states Dogs must be on a leash.
Meet me at Ranger Station parking lot at 10:00 sharp.
Carpooling is suggested. Carpool meet is at Public Grocery Parking lot( park directly across from Mcdonald's ) on Winchester Road at 8:00 sharp. It is about a 1:50 drive from Huntsville Area.
We may stop for some dinner on the way back for those interested.
We will hike thru the beautiful Stone Door down to Big creek Gulf with a visit to Greeter and Ranger Falls we will get some good views of the gulf from the return ridgeline hike
Bring water and a snack.
This is one of the must do hikes in middle Tennessee.
Before the Hike, Time willing I will do a little storytelling about the area .
