World Environment Day Picnic at Christie Pits

Details
The City of Toronto is hosting a special celebration for World Environment Day. This year, Toronto is honoured to be North America's host city for World Environment Day. The theme is #BeatPlasticPollution.
From the City website:
"World Environment Day is a global call to action that encourages communities, organizations and governments to come together to adopt sustainable practices and create innovative solutions that will drive change for a healthier planet.
"This year’s theme “Beat Plastic Pollution” encourages people to rethink how we use and dispose of plastic. Plastic has reached every corner of the Earth — from city streets and green spaces to oceans, rivers and even inside our bodies in the form of microplastics.
"As the North American host city for World Environment Day and a leader in circular innovation, urban forest management and environmental sustainability, the City of Toronto is hosting a World Environment Day Picnic to highlight how actions like refusing single-use plastics, reducing waste and repurposing materials can make a real impact.
"Together we can build a greener, cleaner and more sustainable Toronto for generations to come.
"Join us for the World Environment Day Picnic at Christie Pits Park. Enjoy live music by local artists, food vendors using reusable dishware, eco-friendly pop-ups, fun family activities, a tree giveaway and more."
