Summer & Shade is a hyper-local market held in the heart of Islington Village. We provide a dedicated space for entrepreneurial growth and artistic expression, with a specific focus on supporting low-income creators. Our mission is to foster self-sufficiency and self-reliance by lowering the traditional barriers to entry for local talent.
We specifically advocate for Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) residents, who often face systemic obstacles such as selection biases and prohibitive participation fees. By creating an accessible and inclusive marketplace, Summer & Shade ensures that the vibrant creative energy of our local community has the platform it needs to thrive.
