Our waterfront is under direct threat. The expansion of the Toronto Island Airport means commercial jets roaring overhead and more air pollution settling over our neighbourhoods. If we do not act, this will be the end of our vision of a waterfront where families can swim, walk and breathe clean air. The federal government must take action NOW.
Let’s come together to say NO to jets on Toronto’s waterfront! On Sunday, July 26, join us for a powerful rally and march to protect Toronto’s lakefront.
10:30 a.m. — Kick-off Rally at Harbour Square Park
11:00 a.m. — March to Union Station
11:45 a.m. — Descend to HTO Park: We’ll march to the water, where we’ll be joined by a flotilla of local boaters.
Let’s gather, make our voices heard, and demand that the federal government and its Toronto MPs take action NOW! Bring your energy, your bold signs, your loudest voices, and invite your friends and neighbours!
