About us ...
For 35 years Cook Strait has been helping people in the community to develop speaking and leadership skills and forge lifelong friendships.
We meet on the 2nd, 4th & 5th Tuesday of the month.
We have a relaxed community vibe, and especially aim to reflect the diverse Kilbirnie, Lyall Bay, and surrounding communities.

You can expect a warm welcome and refreshments are provided. It costs nothing but your time to take a look so why not accept attendance and visit us as a guest (FREE) to find out if we are right for you. But be warned, you're going to enjoy yourself so much you'll want to join our whanau on the spot which is just $250 for 12 months or $150 for 6 months, plus a one off joining fee of $25.00. T&C's apply.

Toastmasters Wairarapa Club meetings follow the general Toastmasters agenda, with 3 - 4 project speeches delivered in any meeting. We also include roles such as Bard at the beginning of the meeting and a separate Listening Post at the end the meeting. We have a friendly fun atmosphere and welcome new members at any time during the year.

The club started in 2006. We have around 20 members and are a community club (meaning membership is open to all). We are a diverse mix of age, culture, profession and experience from newbies to those who have achieved the highest level of achievement in toastmasters.

What makes us special? You'll be surrounded by passionate people and if you desire, a mentor who will support and guide you through our Pathways educational programme.
