Our next event will be // TODO London 1.9 on June 6th 2018.

Please join us at Deliveroo, The River building, 1 Cousin Ln. (note that all of the entrance fee goes to // TODO London and not to Deliveroo).

Deliveroo requires you to sign an NDA upon arrival. This is not for the contents of the meet-up but rather for anything technical, or business related to Deliveroo that you might see at their offices. We understand this extra step might be annoying, but we appreciate you taking the time to do it.
You can look at the NDA before hand here: https://goo.gl/X4mFDU

18:30: Doors

18:50: Intro

18:55: Talk One: Aaron Randall – How to grow
You go to meet-ups, read books & blogs, learn new languages – great! Investing in your professional development is fun and rewarding. But what is your company doing to support you on that journey, and help you focus on the most impactful things? I’m going to talk about some of the techniques we use at Songkick to help make professional development clear, fair, and deliberate.

19:15: Break

19:20: Talk Two: Adiba Maduegbuna – Demystify Djing and music production; a Coders perspective
By day Adiba writes Android apps in Kotlin and Java. By night she’s a DJ and aspiring producer. Through practice and constant experimentation she’s discovered that her interactions with music have a very direct correlation with software development. There are numerous transferable skills and the room for creativity is endless. This talk will give insight into how she created her latest track “Chariots” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azc95tKOZqQ
whilst relating it to a concept we are all familiar with; creating a minimum viable product (MVP).
This will be an interactive talk and audience participation may be required.

19:40: Break

19:45: Talk Three: Michelle You – Parental Leave
This talk will explain why the best advice to men who want to do something about the gender wage gap is to share half their partner’s maternity leave.

20:05: Outro

20:15ish: Social, The Banker (banker-london.co.uk) Cousin Ln, London EC4R 3TE

We understand that some people have other commitments, and cannot spend the whole evening with us. Because of this we start early, try to run very close to time, and we do not take questions after the talks. This allows everyone to benefit from the main part of the evening, and then, if you are able, you can join us after for the social where hopefully some, or all, of the speakers will be on hand. We think this makes // TODO more inclusive, but if you think we can do better, do let us know.
