19:35: Niamh Power - Better Together
20:05: Adam Hogge - Cycling and coding: avoiding crashes
20:30ish Social - Strongroom Bar & Kitchen [masked] Curtain Road - EC2A 3SQ)
Pau Tomas - Emoji: a tiny talk
How did emojis ended up in our keyboards? Who invented them? When? Where? And more important: WHY?
This talk aims to answer those questions and some more, while also providing bits of emoji trivia useful enough to avoid those awkward silences when in an elevator with strangers.
Niamh Power - Better Together
Across the mobile industry, there is often this great divide between the two platforms, iOS, and Android. In this talk Niamh will detail how we address these issues at Monzo, and her experiences with a variety of mobile teams working together.
Adam Hogge - Cycling and coding: avoiding crashes
What can cycling teach us about coding? Join us to hear crazy stories from the last 100 years of cycling, and how they can help us build tech teams, work well together, and write better software
Note: We understand that some people have other commitments, and cannot spend the whole evening with us. Because of this we start early, try to run very close to time, and we do not take questions after the talks. This allows everyone to benefit from the main part of the evening, and then, if you are able, you can join us after for the social where hopefully some, or all, of the speakers will be on hand. We think this makes // TODO more inclusive, but if you think we can do better, do let us know.
