What we’re about
Welcome to the Toronto 2SLGBTQIA+ Extravaganza - a community building safer spaces for people of all identities. To us, board gaming is a fun night out, a chance to bond as a community, and meet new people.
So come on in, let's roll the dice, and reignite the magic of gaming together!
We meet at the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) a few minutes’ walk South from Bathurst Station. CSI is the largest co-working space and social justice hub in Canada!

Hello and welcome to the 2SLGBTQIA+ Extravaganza! We are Canada's largest, and longest-running, board game meetup group for the queer community.
About Us: Our events are intentional friendly socials that aim to create a safe space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, friends, and allies to gather and connect through gaming. With our history of running events over the last ten years, our meetups have grown to average 120 participants whenever we get together.
Note, our events are 19+
What to Expect: Whether you're a seasoned gamer or new to the world of board games, this event offers something for everyone. Discover new games, challenge your friends, and make new connections with fellow board game lovers along the way. Come as a group or solo, and our friendly volunteers can help pair you with a community table and teach you a new game. Our events are also a great way to make new friends, and are perfect for folks arriving in Toronto looking to connect.
Our events are community first. However you identify on the 2SLGBTQIA+ spectrum, there is always a chair for you at our game tables. Friendly allies are also welcome, so long as they are respectful of the intentions of the event space.
Board Games: From classic favourites to modern hits, we will have a wide selection of games to choose from, with nearly 100 games in our collection, including Coup, Codenames, Catan and many more! We also like to bring out the more crunchy games like Wingspan and Viticulture. If there is a game you would like us to bring, please leave a comment to make a request! You are also welcome to bring games from your own collection if you are interested in leading a table.
Cover: RSVP to this event through Meetup and pay $5 entry at the door. Admission supports all the resources that go into making these events possible. We accept cash or card for payments. Note that an RSVP does not guarantee a seat; tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Our volunteer team will be running a bar that will have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options. Purchases at the bar support CSI! (Remember to please drink responsibly)
