OpenStreetMap Ireland Chapter Formation

There’s been talk about it off and on for years but we’re finally getting around to doing the necessary work to transform OpenStreetMap Ireland into a legal entity.

With that in mind, mappers from around the country are putting down their keyboards, GPS units and maps for a day, and instead are putting their collective heads together for a day to focus purely on forming OSM Ireland into an official body.

Everyone is welcome to attend and the more the merrier. There will be a lot to get through on the day and but it also promises to be a great experience in which to meet other mappers from around the country, many for the first time.

If anyone is interested in attending, please indicate this on the Facebook invite or the website booking form. This is purely to get an idea of numbers so I know what kind of sponsorship to ask for in terms of food &
drink for the event.

Everyone is welcome and the more the merrier. It promises to be a full day of discussion, idea's, brainstorming and hopefully, by the end of the day, the majority of the work being done to form into an official body. For those attending, I would suggest to bring a laptop, notepad and pen.
