WHAT IS HWATU?
Hwatu is a traditional Korean card game played with a unique set of cards. In many ways, the gameplay is similar to rummy. However, if rummy is a quiet strategy session, hwatu is more of a party. Expect noise, quick rounds, and a lot of friendly teasing. Having fun is as important as winning!
WHAT WILL HWATU NIGHT FEEL LIKE?
Like all Moona Moono events, groups and solos are all welcome to join! We will walk folks through the mechanics of the game and then we will just start playing!
NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED.
We just want to share the fun and lay the foundation for a monthly Uptown hwatu club!
