Jogashima has been selected as one of the“100 Geology of Japan”.
The strata that retreated to the bottom of the deep sea far south of Japan moved with the movement of the plates and underwent various tectonic movements to become the islands as it is today. It is a place where you can feel the dynamism of the earth, which is still moving.

The southernmost island of the Miura Peninsula. It is connected to the mainland by the Jogashima Bridge and buses depart from Keikyu Misakiguchi Station. Let's hike 4km around the coast of Jogashima while looking at the sea 🐬🐋
The island has a park and two lighthouses, and you can see Mt. Fuji, the Izu Peninsula and Oshima. 🏝️

Then, go down to the rocks and walk,🚶🏻🚶🏻‍♀️🚶‍♂️and enjoy collecting shells while splashing in the waves on the wide beach 🐚🪸🐚
And lunchtime 😋we'll have seafood tuna bowls and ramen at a restaurant.🍤🍛🍜
On the way back, we'll take the ferry "Sanshiro" to Misaki Port, which is just a short distance away and go to "Urari Marche" to buy cheap vegetables 🙀, such as Miura radish and broccoli 🍅🥦

本土とは、城ケ島大橋で繋がっていて京急三崎口駅から路線バスが出ています。
その城ヶ島の海外沿いの岩場を歩いて海を眺めながら周囲4kmをハイキングしましょう🐬🐋
島内には公園や２つの灯台があり富士山や伊豆半島、大島を眺めることができます。
そして、岩場に降りて歩いて行き、広いビーチで波しぶきを上げながら貝拾いを楽しもう🐚🪸🐚
そして、ランチは食事処で、海の幸、マグロ丼やラーメンの食事会。
帰りは 渡船「さんしろ」に乗ってすぐの三崎港まで行き、「うらりマルシェ」は野菜が安い🙀三浦大根やブロッコリーなど買い物しましょう🍅🥦

Sea cave of Umanose-Domon
「馬の背洞門」is a sea cave that has been carved by waves over many years, which is eight meters in height and six meters in width🤩

Rare geological Formation
「珍しい地層」The rocks on the east and west sides of the island are different, with the eastern part made up of the "Hatsuseso Formation" and the western part made up of the "Misakiso Formation." The reefs have many geologically valuable outcrops, such as bends, and are visited by many researchers and visitors.
