== WS CONTENT ==

This weekend workshop is for everyone who wants to master balance, explore body movement, and expand their creative limits with the human body. The skills learned here are not only useful for daily life, but can also be applied to a wide range of disciplines from acrobatics, yoga, dance, gymnastics, and anything else that uses the body. It’s a special opportunity to learn from one of the world’s top practitioners, Mauricio Jara, so you don’t want to miss out on this chance.

The WS is framed around handstands, head balances, and basic floor acrobatics. Mau will offer his unique approach to each of these areas and provide you with his techniques that have been developed during many years of experience. Through these three skills, you will indeed be learning many more related to balance and movement, which can all be used to excel further in your own practice and area of interest.

Mau is one of the best balancers in the world with incredible handstand skill. Mau likes to call the handstand, “the upside down experience,” and describes it as the most basic and yet complex element of any acrobatic discipline. You could spend all your life practicing and still get surprised every time, discovering new ways of balancing on your hands.

Mauricio Jara (from Costa Rica) is a professional performing artist and a teacher of his own method of the handstand discipline at the National Institute of Circus school in the North of Portugal.
