Artist Talk at a Tokyo Gallery — Meet the Artist, marie

Join us for an intimate and relaxed artist talk at Picaresque Gallery in Motoazabu, Tokyo.

This event is an opportunity to meet marie in person, hear the stories and ideas behind her artworks, and explore her solo exhibition “Torukka Forest” together with the artist.

marie will be presenting her solo exhibition “Torukka Forest” at Picaresque Gallery from November 4–15, 2026.

The word “Torukka” means “dozing” in Finnish.

Inspired by the feeling of drifting into a forest while half asleep, the exhibition explores an imaginary world between dreams and reality.

Through her artworks, marie invites visitors into a quiet, dreamlike forest, where each piece feels like a page from an old storybook.

During this 90-minute event, we’ll gather with a small group inside the gallery and explore the exhibition together.

marie will introduce the exhibition's concept and share the stories behind her individual artworks. Participants are welcome to ask questions throughout the conversation.

Rather than a formal presentation, this event is designed to be a relaxed and personal experience, offering a chance to discover the artist's imagination and creative process through direct conversation.
