English Bible Reading & Discussion - Zechariah

First timers are welcome! Basically, we read the Bible and discuss. We ask wondering questions and we are open-minded about ideas and impressions.

We try to remind each other of some strategies for reading the Bible as a unified story that leads to Jesus. We follow the Tanakh order of the Hebrew Bible because there's a lot of fruit that comes from reading according to its genre and original order. The Bible has 5 parts in this scheme: Torah (Teaching), Nevi'im (Prophets), Ketuvim (Writings), Gospels (Good News that Jesus is King) and the Letters.

We are reading the Scroll of the Twelve. Here's the schedule:
Nov 17 - Hosea
Nov 24 - Joel & Amos

Dec 1 - Obadiah & Jonah
Dec 8 - Micah
Dec 15 - Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai
Dec 22 - Zechariah
Dec 29 - Malachi

We are a community that follows King Jesus. We recognize his life, death and resurrection, and that he is our King. And he has called us to partner with him to create a more loving and just society.
